Tongue tie, lip tie, bringing patients in sooner than you may think. Teeth are not the only thing that a dentist would do. There’s other intraoral issues that other doctors wouldn’t deal with, but maybe a pediatrician would recognize a problem if there was an issue with feeding.
Gas in babies because they can’t eat well. Pain for the mother because they can’t feed well. Or both at the same time, unfortunately.
Some are an unlucky few to have to deal with that. Not too few, not alone by any means, but is a huge impact on quality of life for both mother and child so that that baby can not only eat in a way that’s less painful, but actually get more food. Whether it’s for, maybe a bottle is a little easier, but still, still makes an impact.
And then for mother, for breastfeeding, so much more comfortable. It’s already uncomfortable naturally, but to add that extra factor leads a lot of mothers who would rather not quit, make them feel like they’re forced to. So it’s a huge, huge quality of life changer for those long nights at first.
