Support for a complete arch

All-on-X treatment uses several strategically placed implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth. Your dentist will evaluate your health, jawbone, and goals before recommending implant placement or alternatives.

A staged treatment plan

  1. Consultation and three-dimensional imaging to assess and plan treatment.
  2. Implant placement with comfort options discussed beforehand.
  3. Temporary teeth when your clinical situation allows.
  4. A healing period while the implants integrate with bone.
  5. A custom final restoration once healing and stability are suitable.

Same-day temporary teeth are not appropriate for every patient. The team will explain timing, costs, risks, food restrictions, and follow-up before treatment.

Common questions

Are these teeth removable?

The planned restoration and maintenance requirements will be explained at your consultation. Fixed full-arch teeth are not removed by the patient like conventional dentures.

How do I care for them?

Follow the cleaning and follow-up instructions for your restoration. Ongoing professional maintenance is part of the treatment, not an optional extra.

Can I eat normally immediately?

Do not assume unrestricted eating after surgery. Follow your treating clinician's instructions during healing and after the final teeth are placed.

How All-on-X treatment works

All-on-X uses several strategically positioned dental implants to support a fixed full-arch restoration. It can provide greater stability than a conventional removable denture and avoids the need for denture adhesive, but candidacy depends on oral health, bone, bite, medical history, and treatment goals.

Planning and treatment stages

  1. Three-dimensional imaging and a clinical examination evaluate bone and important anatomy.
  2. The implants are planned to use available support; grafting or other preparation may still be recommended in some cases.
  3. A provisional set of teeth may be attached on the day of surgery when implant stability and clinical conditions make immediate loading appropriate.
  4. The implants heal and integrate with the jaw over the following months.
  5. A final custom restoration is made after the dentist confirms that healing is ready.

Temporary teeth are not the final teeth

A same-day provisional restoration is designed to protect the implants and provide appearance and limited function during healing. Diet restrictions are important during this period. Not every patient qualifies for an immediate provisional, and the final restoration is delivered later.

Long-term care

Although the teeth are not removed for routine home cleaning, the restoration and implants still require daily brushing and cleaning underneath the arch with the tools your team recommends. Professional maintenance and examinations help monitor the implants, gums, bite, and prosthesis.
